"My pain is always with me" Medicine and Faithful Responses to Suffering

 

Please join us for this three day event as the Trent Center, together with Duke’s Theology, Medicine and Culture Initiative, hosts the 2019 Conference on Medicine & Religion, which will focus on Medicine & Faithful Responses to Suffering. The conference will be held March 29-31, 2019, at the JB Duke Hotel and Conference Center.

A highlight of the conference will be the 2019 Emerson Lecture given by Reverend Professor John Swinton of King’s College, University of Aberdeen, Scotland. Reverend Swinton’s talk, Medicine, Health, and the Suffering Soul, will be held Saturday evening, March 30, at 5:45pm in the Ballroom, JB Duke Hotel. A reception will follow.
