How to Apply

We have a rolling admissions process. In general, we will review applications at the end of each calendar year and in early spring; we recommend applicants submit by December 1 or March 1 of each year. Applicants are strongly encouraged to contact us first if interested in applying.

Applications to this program should include the items below. When describing the research project on the application, applicants may select from the list of mentors available for this program. Applicants MUST contact their desired mentor prior to submitting their applications; we can help facilitate those connections upon request. For applicants that are already working in a lab at Duke but their faculty mentor is not listed in our program, you do not need to change mentors or labs. If selected, we will collect the necessary paperwork to add your mentor to the list.
