My name is Allison Bloom and I am an incoming third year medical student. I grew up in Maryland and went to Brown University for college where I majored in Biology. Prior to starting medical school at Duke, I participated in an AmeriCorps service program for one year. I am interested in internal medicine and pediatrics. I am really excited to get involved in infectious diseases research this year!

My name is Emily Lydon and I’m a rising third year medical student at Duke. I grew up in Scituate, MA, a small suburb outside of Boston. I graduated from MIT with a major in biological engineering and a minor in anthropology. I am hoping to go into internal medicine, but don’t know much beyond that yet. I definitely want research to be a big part of my career, and I’m excited to get started soon!
