Olivia Dong, PhD, is a Second-Year Genomic Medicine T32 Postdoctoral Fellow in Dr. Deepak Voora's group at the Duke Center for Applied Genomics and Precision Medicine and at the Durham VA Health Care System. Her research projects are focused on conducting health economic evaluations of genomic interventions and evaluating the VA Pharmacogenomic Testing for Veterans (PHASER) clinical program, which is providing pharmacogenomic testing for up to 250,000 Veterans. At the end of her research fellowship, Olivia will be joining RTI Health Solutions as a Senior Research Health Economist.
Melody Shi, MD, is a Second-Year Genomic Medicine T32 Postdoctoral Fellow in Dr. Myles Wolf’s research lab at Duke University Hospital. Her research project explores the physiology of CYP24 and its role in vitamin D metabolism by developing a novel transgenic inducible mouse model of CYP24 deficiency. Shi is also a clinical pediatric endocrinology fellow at Duke and will be joining INOVA Children’s Hospital in Virginia as a pediatric endocrinologist.
